Guildford, UK: TransferMate, the world’s leading provider of embedded B2B payments infrastructure as a service (IaaS), has appointed Element Communications as its PR and communications partner.
Businesses operating in today’s globalised economy rely on cross-border payments, with over $150tn-worth executed globally each year. 99% of these transactions are B2B, and any delays or errors in the way money moves around the world causes significant disruption to the global economy. TransferMate exists to make it easier for businesses to move money cross-border with the largest fintech payments network in the world.
Element Communications has come on board to work closely with TransferMate’s marketing team, led by Chief Marketing Officer Sinéad O’Neill, to deliver a media relations campaign focused on amplifying TransferMate’s high-profile strategic partnerships throughout the year as it continues to scale – the most recent of which with Deutsche Bank, announced at Money20/20 Europe in June.
Element will also build brand awareness for TransferMate and its new CEO Gary Conroy, through a thought leadership programme focused on educating businesses and partners across key verticals – from banks and fintechs to payroll, education, and software providers – on streamlining their cross-border payments processes to drive business growth.
“We selected Element Communications because of their proven expertise in supporting ambitious, growing companies in the fintech and payments space,” said Sinéad O’Neill, Chief Marketing Officer at TransferMate. “It is clear from their success with other fintech and payment firms that the team intimately understands the sector and has the media connections that will move the needle for us. At a time when the power and influence of embedded B2B finance is only growing, we’re excited to see our partnership with Element develop as we cement our position as the market leader in cross-border payments.”
International business payments have historically been handled through traditional banks using the correspondent banking system – a slow, opaque, and expensive process – meaning businesses are struggling with a lack of control, visibility, and efficiency when making and receiving payments internationally. TransferMate’s platform provides a faster, better and more cost-effective way for businesses to move money cross-border thanks to its unique globally licensed network of local bank accounts. This is embedded directly into business’ existing platforms, bypassing traditional intermediaries, to enable faster settlements, lower fees, real-time FX, and end-to-end visibility for seamless cross-border transactions.
Ben Cossor, Director at Element Communications, commented: “We absolutely love the drive and enthusiasm of the TransferMate team, and it’s been great to see the early success of the partnership through some high profile partnership announcements. What TransferMate are doing for the cross-border payments space is genuinely game-changing and it’s a pleasure to be working so closely with them to deliver on their ambitious growth plans. Watch this space for plenty of world-firsts this year!”
Since it was founded in 2010 by entrepreneur Terry Clune, TransferMate has built the largest fintech payments network in the world, including 51 US states and territories, to support trading in more than 200+ countries and territories and in 140+ currencies.
