bit.bio appoints Element Communications to power global growth story following $50m raise

London, UK – 27 May 2026: Cambridge biotech company bit.bio has appointed Element Communications to lead an ambitious international PR campaign at a crucial stage of its growth journey.

Earlier this year, the company raised a $50m Series C funding round led by M&G investments to transform the future of drug development and innovation.

The Element campaign will focus on engaging the scientific community, from academics to pharmaceutical companies, on the role of lab-grown human cells to accelerate drug discovery, facilitating the move away from animal testing.

It will also focus on cementing bit.bio’s position as the UK’s most exciting biotech firm, with an international footprint and track record of measurable impact.

bit.bio uses its proprietary opti-ox™ technology and its world-class cell manufacturing capabilities to produce human cells with unmatched consistency at scale, solving the reproducibility crisis that has long held back drug discovery, and realising the company’s ambition to democratise access to human cells.

As we continue to capitalise on opportunities for growth, building awareness of our brand and mission is of huge importance, and we’re delighted to be working with the Element team to tell our story.”

The recent capital infusion has also enabled bit.bio to scale its operational footprint to meet growing global demand and strengthen its world-class leadership team.  This includes the appointment of Lord David Prior as an independent director and Board Chair, bringing more than two decades of experience in UK life sciences and healthcare policy to support bit.bio’s next phase of growth.

Simon Moss, Director at Element Communications, added: “What’s clear is that bit.bio is spearheading a generational shift – one that will improve drug discovery and change millions of lives across the world.

“The company has accelerated through the traditional growth lists that celebrate fast-growth tech firms and is now widely recognised as one of the most exciting brands in the country.

“To be able to take this story to market is a source of real pride for our team, and we are excited to play an important role in the continued growth of this mission-driven company.”
